Tea Party Playdate at Alice's Tea Cup

When we were planning our trip to New York, the only friend I really really wanted to meet was Tots. We went to school together in ICA, and while she was the always the responsible class president, when we became seatmates, she would get in trouble with the teacher for being noisy and talking too much. She now has a two year old daughter, Jamie, but because I lived in Singapore for two and a half years and she lives in the States, we've never seen each other since she had kids.

When we were planning where to eat in Manhattan and she suggested Alice's Tea Cup, I googled it and I found out that one of their famous customers is Suri Cruise.

If it's good enough for Suri,
it's good enough for our girls.
We took a cab to Alice's Tea Cup from the MoMA
because we had all our shopping.
Inside is a place that will make you believe in fairies
if you were five.
Great way to market glitters as Fairy Dust. US$8.
Lots of books on Alice in Wonderland.
The kids are told to close their eyes and they're
given Fairy Dust before we get shown to our table.
Some of the tables also have Alice stuff under.
Sofia was so happy, she was showing (her new) Hutch
how to play the iPod.

I know we were supposed to have a tea party, but with jet-lag and all, it sort of morphed into an early dinner instead. Everything was served in nice China plates that was very went very well with our tea party intent.
Sofia had Chicken Fingers and French Fries which she really enjoyed.
Auntie Celit had a Croque Monsieur
which is basically a grilled ham and cheese sandwich.
Ady had an open-faced Salmon Sandwich.
And I had a really yummy burger.
Tots was the only one who ordered for tea,
with a Raspberry Chocolate Chip Scone for dessert.
Jamie and Fi continued playing,
sharing Auntie Tots' iPhone.
They also took turns using Jamie's new magnetic toy from the MoMA.
It was so nice seeing you again Tots and Jamie!
Hope we get to see you soon in Manila.
I think I expected more magic from Alice's Tea Cup than a free sprinkling of Fairy Dust, but Sofia and I were very happy with the food we ordered anyway. just saying.
