P365 TE Day 216

Mont Saint-Michel

Travel Bite: Mont Saint-Michel is one of the iconic destinations in France (also a UNESCO world heritage site) that's part of the Normandy Region. It has a rich history given it's geographical location of being an island only 600 meters away from the Mainland, so it used to be easily accessible during low tide, but during high tide, it stranded or drowned would-be assailants during the war.

Bonux Travel Bite: Galette Breton (The best Butter Cookies) come from Normandy, so if you visit, don't forget to get some freshly baked ones. But the ones you get from the supermarche are pretty good too!

Location: Normandy, France
Date Photo Taken: April, 2006
