Dinner at Tots' House and Elliot Turns One

They say that the friends you have for keeps, are the ones you meet it High School. I don't remember who said it, so it's totally possible that I just made it up. Hahaha.

Anyway, I don't always see my High School friends, but when we do get a chance to see each other, it's like we were just transported back to our ICA days, except now there are a lot more kids, husbands (not mine), and yayas during our get togethers.

June was a good month for us because one of our friends is home from the States, and another one is home from Malaysia, so we had a lot of reunions and a lot of food!

Dinner at Tots' House was the usual Potluck, with bulk of the menu prepared by Tots and her mom, just like it was 15 years or so ago.
Tots' Paella, Cha's Taco Salad, Twiny's Chips and Salsa
Our baked Spag, Jem's Roast Chicken, and Jen and MT's Lomi
Tiana's Zaifu Specials
Twiny was in Salmon Heaven
Kim's freshly baked brownies
My special request from the Good Old Days was Tots' Homemade Really Yummy Cream Puffs.
She made two trays, but I spread rumors that there
was only one tray.
They taste even better than they look. I swear.
OC person that I am, I lifted each one to find the one with the most filling.
Jackpot!
Tots' Mom also made yummy Chocolate Cake
Tots, Ritz and Teacher Jenny
We still fit in the frame. Kids and All.
I know what Reese's favorite dessert is.
When we were in High School, we would sit and hang out here.
We would just talk to each other because we didn't even have mobile phones.
We've been replaced by our kids with iPads and their yayas.
Our entertainment for the night was BINGO.
Ninang Faith supervised the Bingo Masters.
Bigay na Bigay yun mga Bingo Masters!
Ivan kept on winning.
Gambling lord Frank had four cards for a better chance.
Thanks for hosting Tots! That dinner was just like the good old days.

Fast forward to Elliot's Birthday Party

Elliot is my friend Mau's second child. They live in Malaysia, but they're here to celebrate Elliot's first birthday - the Manila Way, with a big party, lot's of food, many games, prizes and entertainment.

Best friends Sofia and Viele.
I didn't get to take much pictures because I was busy catching up with friends and stuffing my face because the food was really good. Hahaha. But the thing that really entertained us was the Bubble Show, where they make bubbles so big, a child (or Adult AND Child) can fit inside the bubble.

As usual we had to take a barkada picture

Happy Happy First Birthday again Elliot! Thanks for inviting us Mau! Looking forward to catching up some more before you fly back home. That goes for you too - Tots and Mots! just saying.
