Pizza4P's in Ho Chi Minh City is the BEST I've ever tried!

I think it's quite bizarre that the best pizza I've ever had in my life, the only pizza better than what my mom makes, is from a restaurant owned by a Japanese, and located in Vietnam. Clear, globalization at work on the food front and I am so happy I got to try it.

Pizza4P's is located off the busy food street, Le Thanh Ton, in HCMC's District 1, so don't get surprised if the driver drops you off and the restaurant is nowhere to be found. You need to walk up a small alley, and turn left at the end.

At the end of this alley, where only motorcycles can
pass is Pizza4P's. (picture taken from the restaurant)
This is what it looks like. We reserved for 9pm on a Monday
night and the place was still very busy.
Interestingly, 4P's stands for Platform of Personal Pizza for Peace,
whatever that means. Sounds like something you'd find on Korean stationary.

When you enter the place, it feels like you're entering a well lit tunnel or cave.
The bar is to your right.
There is a chiller with deli products they have available to the left.
Before we even ordered, I told myself I'd buy cheese to bring home.
Their homemade cheese is so good, on top of that it's so affordable too.

We were really starving when we got to the restaurant because with the time difference, it seemed like we woke up at 3am (Vietnam Time), and we were only having dinner at 10pm (Philippine Time), so it really was a long day for us.

We ordered the Shrimp, Avocado and Beans Salad (95,000VND)
which was a good choice because it was light and healthy, and it was served
very quickly!
We also ordered the Herb and Truffle flavored homemade Camembert.
(55,000VND) The Herb one looked more interesting.
But it was actually the Truffle one that's the bomb! Seriously.
Just a bite will give you a delicious explosion of creamy umami goodness!
The main star of dinner, was the Buratta Prosciutto Margherita Pizza.
(420,000VND)
This pizza was so yummy, if you can only order one, this should be it!
Where's Wally in Pizza4P's, with Shahanie and Karl.
The lady even prepares the pizza for you after serving.
Beautiful. I'd never think that this was how it was supposed to be eaten.
Someone looks like she's enjoying it.
You can also opt to order a pizza with 2 different flavors.
For variety, we ordered the 4 Cheese Pizza (240,000VND for a whole) which
is served with honey and Chicken Terriyaki Pizza (200,000VND for a whole).
Looks so good, which it is, when it's hot. But if I compare
all three, this would be my least favorite.
The Truffle Camembert cheese was so good, we not only ordered another one,
we told them to make it both Truffle instead of including the Herb.
It was so good, that after we had dinner in our second night at a local
Vietnamese place, we opted to come back to have a cheese course with dessert!
This time we arrived just before they were taking last orders, and we got
seated at the second floor, where the ambiance is not as nice. It looks a bit
like the restaurant expanded in any way they could.

If I'm not mistaken, I think someone told me that Pizza 4P's has only been open for around two years or so, and it's quite difficult to get a reservation if you want to go for lunch or dinner, so eating at 9pm was perfect.
On a last note, don't bother wasting your stomach space on ordering
dessert. The pizza and the cheese is more worthy of the calories,
at least vs the Frozen Yogurt. just saying.

I think the main difference between my mom's pizza and this one, is that they make their own cheese! In fact, the reason we came back on our last night was to buy more cheese to bring home. It travels well enough when I wrapped it in newspaper, but next time I will come prepared to hoard by bringing my own insulated bag. just saying.

Thanks so much Aina, for recommending this place!
