Bag of Beans in Tagaytay

I had to to go to Tagaytay two times last week for work. Unfortunately, for both trips we only went for the day so we didn't really get to enjoy the nice atmosphere and weather that Tagaytay is known for. The good thing was, despite our always hectic schedule, we were able to steal some time and enjoy the place because we had our meeting at Bag of Beans.

Bag of Beans Coffee Shop & Bakery is a quaint cafe situated along the National Highway of Tagaytay on the way to Batangas. We were still full from our late lunch, so we only ordered a few dishes to share.

I guess from their name, we can assume that the coffee is good.
And it is. It's the Fresh Fruit Shakes that are too sweet for my taste.
They are known for their meat pies,
and the steak and mushroom was really good.
We also tried the Chicken and Mushroom pie,
but it's nothing special.
Their pies come in single size pictured costing a little over P100 (around SG$4 or less) or Family size at less than Php500 (around SG$15) a pie.

We also ordered Blueberry Pancakes ( Php195 or SG$6)
because they were highly recommended.

They have a cozy garden restaurant that is similar in look and feel to Sonya's garden, but in a much smaller scale.
The garden cafe area.

They also have a store where people normally buy pasalubong (presents) on their way home. My brother has been asking me to buy him Raisin Bread from here.
When we arrived, there was a lot of raisin bread.
Who knew it was such a fast selling SKU,
it was all gone when we were buying.
This is what the store looks like.
You can buy Frozen Pies so you can have
it freshly heated at home.
They also sell coffee beans.
and a selection of cakes and pastries.
I settled on buying Cinnamon Rolls to bring home for Sofia.
It was only Php110 and it came with cream cheese topping.
We only ate it 2 days after I bought it, but it was still good.

That small taste I had of Bag of Beans has left me wanting to try more. I can't wait to go back to Bag of Beans when we have more time to enjoy the place, and we have more space in our tummies to try their other dishes. just saying.
