P365 TE Day 45

Pont des Arts or "Love Lock" Bridge in Paris

Travel Bite: Valentines Day justifies a post for the most romantic city I can think of. Where else, but my other motherland, Paris. In Paris, there are 2 bridges, Pont des Arts and Pont de l'Archevêché, where lovers leave a padlock to symbolize their love, then they are said to throw away the keys to symbolize that their love is unbreakable.

Bonus Trivia: In Paris, this is quite controversial because it has been mentioned that the locks "raise problems for the conservation of the cultural heritage". In fact, on the night of 11 May 2010, all the locks disappeared from Pont des Arts.

Location: Paris, France
