Legoland Waterpark Johor Bahru Adventures

We were very happy that Legoland Water Park opened (around October last year) before our Annual Passes expired because I added it on our to do list to save from having to go another time.

The Legoland Water Park is right beside the main Legoland Park.
But you need to buy a separate ticket to enter. You can get a ticket
for both parks with a discount. If you're an Annual Pass Holder,
you just need to pay RM50 (Php680) instead of RM105 (Php1430).
Sofia was so excited to explore the Water Park.

The first thing you should do upon entering, is to get organized, and leave your valuables at the locker. You can choose the size of the locker you want to rent.
You register at the access terminal, where you also use your fingerprint
to open the locker!
No more worries about losing your keys. To open your locker, just swipe your fingertip. Then you'll be given a choice of whether to continue using the locker, or if you're done for the day.
You can also opt to rent a Cabana if you're with a big group. It has lounge
chairs inside, a fan, a safe and a fridge, and can be closed for privacy.
Most people, just opt to leave their things lying around on tables at the Cafe.
We did this for our clothes and slippers after we locked up the valuables.
However, seats are limited, so even if you place your things on a table, be ready for people to sit and eat around it.

When we arrived, it really looked like it was about to pour! And it did just that, so it was a good thing we were already wet.
This was our favorite ride.
What we call the granny/lola ride. Hahaha.
You start with getting a floater.
They have singles or doubles.
Then you let the current take you around the river which goes around the
whole water park. You can also pick up lego bricks along the way to build.
This is clearly after many rounds on this ride.
The good thing is, you don't need to go down if you don't want to.
View from the bridge:

Beside Build A Raft, there is also a Water Play Area.
Sofia wasn't really interested in playing here.
There are waterslides, and a big bucket which splashes people when it
gets full, very similar to the water play area at the Singapore Zoo.

Then they also have the Duplo Zoo water play area which Sofia enjoyed more.
It had shallow slides.
And giant duplo animals spraying water.
It was also much less crowded.
There are also places where you can just play with Lego.

On the upper portion of the Water Park, they have a wave pool that was made to look like a beach.
I thought this was very lame, but there were quite
a lot of people swimming here.

It started raining hard, so Tim, Ady and Sofia went back to Build A Raft to ride around while we were waiting for the rain to stop. When it cleared up a bit, I decided to explore the other parts of the water park.

There had several water slides, which was more popular with the older thrill seeking crowd.
There's once where you carry your floater up,
then you slide down while riding the double or huge single round floater.
There's also one where you carry up your yoga mat,
then you can do a slide contest with your friends.
There was also another slide, where a whole group slides while riding on
a raft.

It really looked like fun, but we weren't able to do anything because I twisted my ankle while I was taking the pictures of the slides. It was so painful, it really took some time before I could walk back to the group, and my ankle immediately doubled in size! While waiting for the guys, I just dipped in my foot to cool my ankle in the Build a Raft River.
This is one happy little girl. She didn't even mind not going on the slides.
It started to clear up a bit afterwards, so we decided to get dry so we could move on to the Legoland Portion before we went shopping in the Outlet Stores.
Beside the lockers, there are shower rooms,
comfort rooms and dressing rooms for the girls and guys.

However, it was so slippery everywhere. Not just in the lockers and the showering area, but also within the park itself. I saw quite a lot of people running, who landed on the backs and on the butts and so they must have been in as much pain as I was with my twisted ankle. I am sure, the rain made things worse, but this is a waterpark. They should be expect their floors to get wet, and they should have taken protective measures so that their customers aren't falling all over the place. just saying.
