Felucca on the Nile
Travel Bite: When we were planning things to do in Egypt, one of the recommended activities was taking a cruise along the Nile. So being the excited tourists that we were, we booked one. It turned out to be a normal dinner on a big boat with the belly dancing and buffet dinner thrown in. In other words, totally for tourists and nothing to write home or blog about.
However, what we really enjoyed was riding a Felucca along the Nile. A Felucca is a Traditional Wooden Sail Boat used in Egypt. The ride is relaxing, the view breathtakingly beautiful, and you can rent one and go out by yourself or with your own small group. Feluccas are still used as transport in cities like Aswan and Luxor.
Location: Luxor, Egypt
Date Photo Taken: May 2011
P365 TE Points for today: 2 out of 3 (for now)
