The African Safari
Travel Bite: The African Safari is beautiful. Safaris range from the National Parks like Kruger National Park, one of the largest game reserves in Africa or Masai Mara, another famous game reserve in Kenya, to Private Game Reserves, like Thanda Game Reserve, the one we visited.
In a private game reserve, you have a tour guide, who i think knows where the animals hang-out, so they are not that difficult to see.
You normally go on a game drive early in the morning (around 5 or 6am) before the sun rises, and late in the afternoon, as this is when it's best to see the animals.
While zebras and giraffes are fairly common, tourists normally come to see the BIG 5, referred to because of the difficulty and danger involved in hunting them. These include the Lion, the Elephant, the Buffalo, Leopard and Rhinoceros.
We saw everything but the leopard.
You can visit the website of Thanda here for more information on where we stayed.
Location: Durban, South Africa

Feel free to come back everyday. just saying...
