Easter Escapades

We had quite a busy Easter Weekend kicking it off with an Easter Egg Hunt at The Rabbit Hole arranged by NCompass Mobility. I just received an email from them inviting us to an Easter Activity where kids get to hunt for eggs, do some activities, have some snacks and everyone goes home with a goodie bag for only SG$15 and the parents can come for free. It sounded like a good deal to me so I immediately confirmed our attendance.

Entering The Rabbit Hole
Eggcited to hunt for eggs!
The first activity was make your own bunny ears.
We arrived early so we started spotting the eggs that were in plain sight.

Spotting another egg.
The first group activity was story telling about the BIG BUNNY.
Listening from the sidelines.
Time to hunt. We only need to find one egg to decorate.
DONE!!!
I hate the parents that let their kids get more than one egg becomes some kids were crying because they had none.
Ready to paint.
The paint, glitter and feathers.
Sofia and her OC Ninang declared they were going to make the prettiest egg.
Hahaha.
If Sofia did the painting, why are Ninang's hands dirty?
It looks like its one of the nicest ones!
I think it was really one of the nicest ones.
Modeling her wrist band.
Almost tea time.
Everybunny is Welcome.
They had easter eggs, Nutella cupcakes with bunnies and chicks and pecan brownies.
There were also coloring activities.
We got a bunny cupcake for Fif and two spring rolls.
Mom got a plate with the yummy chicken in puff pastry, apple and rhubarb crisp and a brownie to share.
Fif loved playing on the swing.
Then it was giveaway time. Yay!
Moody josh said it was only his job to giveaway the goodies, not smile for pics.
He was cute pa naman.

That was one good Easter Hunt.
We even had a cupcake to take home to yaya.

We squeezed in a quick trip to the zoo with Tita Janie and Tito AJ. The Singapore weather was playing tricks on us because from super hot it rained cats and dogs.

After our Adventure at the Zoo, we prepared the cupcakes and the Easter eggs for our Easter Brunch.

Project Red Velvet Easter Cupcakes
We used the mix that Auntie Pami sent us from Australia.

We put the mix in the mixing bowl, then Sofia added the milk...
then we added the eggs and the vegetable oil...
(note: Sofia was feeding herself corn and Milo because she was getting hungry)
Then Sofia mixed it until it was the correct consistency.
Sofia got her gammy to help her put it in cupcake liners but they were making too much of a mess so I had to take over.
Knowing my mom, she might have done it on purpose. Hahaha.
From this point on, I was in charge.
I prepared the Cream Cheese Frosting (also part of the mix) while the cupcakes were baking, then I frosted them once they cooled.
Sofia decorated them with the Easter Cupcake Toppers we already prepared.
Voila!
Red Velvet Easter Cupcakes!

Project Easter Egg Men

We used the Dunk An Egg Kit I got from Australia and hard boiled eggs.
You just dissolve the tablets into the expandable cups, add warm water,
some colors required white vinegar. Then you dunk the eggs.
Sofia fished them out while Ninang Ads had to dry them.
The kit even comes with a drying tray
It also comes with stands and face stickers.
Sofia loved making silly faces!
Who has the silliest face?!?
Project Easter Egg Men - DONE!!!

For our Easter Brunch, we just invited a few close friends. The only rule we had was for all the guests to try NOT to find MORE eggs than Sofia.

We woke up early so we could make Freshly Baked  pĂ£o de quiejo  (Brazilian Cheese Bread)
I previously wrote about how easy it was to make them, you can read about it here.
With Sofia and Janie's help, this was ready to go into the oven in no time.
It brought back memories of Brazil!
Crunchy outside, but it was all gooeey cheezy goodness inside.
I loved playing Barista for my guests.

Sofia gave everyone a silly faced Easter Egg Man.

Blue egg for Lola Yaya.
Silly Faced Eggs for Tita Diane and Tita Cookie.
Once everyone was fed, it was time for the Easter Egg Hunt!!!
Where there were signs, there were goodies nearby.
There were easter crackers and chocolate eggs in NOT so plain sight.
Everyone and the goodies they found.
Uncle Jacob looks like he found a lot of goodies.
Auntie helping Sofia pop the cracker.

It's quite hot in Singapore, so by design, we did the hunt in five minutes, picture taking included, then it was back to the comfort of our air-conditioned home.

Thank you very much to our sponsors from Australia, Mumsy for the chocolate Easter Eggs and Auntie Pami for the Red Velvet Cupcake Mix.

Happy Easter Everyone! Hope you had as much fun as we did!!!
