P365 TE Day 10

Cristo Redentor on a Cloudy Day

Travel Bite: If you make your way all the way to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, make sure you look at the weather forecast and plan to spend a SUNNY DAY to go to visit Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) in Corcovado. Otherwise, you'll need to use your imagination. We could hardly believe it when the lady at the counter told us that the Christ Statue would not be visible on the day that we went, because we thought if the statue was so big, how could you miss it, but this was already the clearest we could see it - and we waited around for it to clear up. Most of the time we were on the mountain, we just saw clouds. (note: if you don't see Christ, they don't give refunds)
