P365 TE Day 18

Pondicherry Beach, India

Travel Bite: Pondicherry is known as one of India's beach destinations in the South. However, the beach in India - doesn't exactly mean white sand, clear waters and swimsuits as we know it. Here, women aren't really "allowed" to swim or go alone, and the locals wear their saris to the beach!

The French settled here at some point in time, so French influence including street signs (and even French-Speaking Indians) is still a common sight. However, if you're booking a holiday online, it would be best for you to expect only 60% of what you've seen in the website and you won't be disappointed.

Location: Pondicherry, India
