P365 TE Day 30

Chinatown during Chinese New Year

Travel Bite: In Chinatown in Singapore, the streets are full of stalls selling all kinds of good luck charms to welcome the Lunar New Year. They also have red envelopes (for good luck money) and Chinese New Year pastries like pineapple tarts, almond cookies, and love letters. If you are visiting Singapore, a lot of stores are closed during the Chinese New Year (celebrated 2-3 days) but a lot of smaller businesses are closed for one whole week.
