P365 TE Day 221

Tree climbing at the Istana

Travel Bite: Happy National Day Singapore!!! Did you know that the Istana is Singapore's version of the White House? It's located right on Orchard Road, near Plaza Singapura and it's open to the public on Singapore's National Day and on other public holidays. They normally have activities for kids, who also enjoy running around the grounds. In the handful of times we've been when we lived in Singapore, we saw both the old President S.R. Nathan and the new President Tony Tan mingling with the crowd.

Location: Singapore
Date Photo Taken: January 2012
