Leicester Square and Covent Garden

After rushing to watch the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, we wanted to go to Leicester Square for a proper DimSum brunch. We used to go here every weekend for lunch when I visited Auntie Stella, Uncle Joel and Jacob so I never missed Asian food when I lived in Paris. I just went to London when I wanted to have some. Hahaha.

You see the weirdest things in the West End (Theater District).
It was starting to rain so we went into the first nice looking restaurant that had a sign that said we serve dimsum.
We ordered duck rice with sauce on the side and pretended it was chicken.
It was so good even after you scrape off the fat.
Fif ordered Salt and Pepper Squid from the dimsum menu.
We ordered prawn choeng fan for Fif but she didn't like it so Ma had to eat it all.
I loved the Turnip Cake.
and I really like the Deep Fried Taro Puff.
The one from Chinese Experience is still the best with mayo in the center but it closed na.
Ha Kaw (prawn dumpling) for Fif.
We tried the Beef Balls. It was just okay.
Saturday YumCha (dimsum) Brunch.

Dimsum is not served for dinner, but the real food was also good the other time when we were with Auntie C.
We also had duck... and we also pretended it was chicken.
We ordered Salt and Pepper Squid... not the dimsum serving.
Auntie C's favorite was the Salt and Pepper Soft Shell Crab
The sizzling sliced beef was also good.
Then we ordered Aubergine Hot Pot so we had some veggies.
That was a really good dinner.

There are a lot of Chinese Restaurants in Leicester Square. They are concentrated on Gerrard Street. We normally just pick a place that looks nice and clean, with yummy looking duck hanging on display... so at least we get one order right.

We ate our dimsum brunch at The Black Bean

Our yummy dinner was at Golden Dragon Restaurant

Covent Garden is walking distance from Leceister Square.
Look what we found on our way there.
I hope there's a day when we're not too lazy to go out for dinner so we can have the best moules!!!
Sofia was literally Singing in the Rain!
Seven Dials.
Doc Martens meets Cath Kidston ba to?
WTFF! Why the face Fif?
Street performers in Covent Garden.
Too cheap to give coins... so we just got her in the background.
