Museum of London Docklands

The Museum of London Docklands is very near Canary Wharf, where my aunt used to work when she was an investment banker in London.

Auntie Stell, does this look familiar? :)

When Sofia first arrived, I googled FREE things to do for kids in London and the Museum of London Docklands came highly recommended.

We were very happy to see this since we went down on the DLR station before so we  wandered around a lot before we found it.
Fif with Gammy before entering.
There's a Mudlarks play area where kids below 1 meter can play in the soft play area.
The lady let Sofia play because she had shoes on. In other words, pinagbigyan siya :)
Driving a DLR Train.
On a Ship.
Climbing up the soft play area.
Wheeeee....
The little elephant.
The play area teaches kids about balance and how to work the scale.
There's also an activity where they need to load the clipper without tipping it.
The little kargador.
Carrying some tea from China.
There are a lot of 'smell this' tubes.
They have different smells from the docks.
It's stinky, mom!!!
There's a play area where you can load the boats.
After our Mudlarks session, we borrowed an activity backpack.
Borrowing is FREE but a £5 deposit is required.
The journey starts at the 3rd Floor with passages that transport you to old London.
It can look a bit scary.
We used the Find it cards first.
We only found one.
We went through the backpack before we returned it and it had a pair of binoculars...
a boat puzzle (because we got the boat back pack. other packs are also available)...
Memory Game.
Sofia was smart enought to match the letter at the back of the cards.
Canary Wharf from the Museum of London Docklands.
Free Entry but donations are always welcome.
Sofia wanted to do the Family Trail so we went down to the Sainsbury exhibit.
The first task was to count the number of employees in this picture.
We saw an old bread shop.
Lifebuoy Product Placement.
The question was "Pretend to be the Cheese Seller. What will you tell your customer?"
Sofia: "Hello, do you want to buy some cheese? It's stinky!"
Sofia drawing the uniform she likes best.
Posing with her drawing.
Completing the shopping list for a customer.
All done!
They used to give free fairy tales with every tea purchase.
Sofia drew her own fairy tale.
"once upon a time, there was a little girl named Sofia..."
The last activity was to make a sign for your own store.
Fif hard at work.
With her Sofia store sign.
We sort of got lost on our way out so we were able to do a photo op with the London Eye in the Underground. Go figure. Hahaha.
Fif found a rock from the gift shop that was bigger than mine.
It was only £2.
We waited forever for the train to stop at the nearest DLR station.
Note to self: just walk to Canary Wharf!
We were able to go to Lewisham after wards for some more shopping.
We found a Marks&Spencer Outlet Shop so Sofia was sitting under the bras while we shopped.

It was such a good day for Sofia, mama (who bought a lot from M&S) and me. I was able to buy loads of mobile charms... you can read about that post here.
